THE SHORT ANSWER

Our take

Choose USB100 for a powered desktop mix of USB-C and USB-A data ports. Do not choose it for display output or laptop PD charging.

Consider it for

A USB-C computer user who wants a powered desktop hub with both USB-C and USB-A data ports and does not need monitor output from the hub..

Look elsewhere if

It is not a fit when the hub must drive a monitor, charge the host computer, or provide a verified match to ASIN B09PNNJ421.

Full review: how the features affect your choice

What the features mean for you

Add both USB-C and USB-A data ports

USB100 gives a USB-C computer three additional USB-C data ports and four USB-A data ports. That mixed layout can suit a desk where newer Type-C accessories sit beside existing Type-A drives, keyboards, or other peripherals. CORSAIR lists all seven downstream ports in the USB SuperSpeed 5Gbps class. The count is useful when the host has too few sockets, but it does not mean the devices receive seven independent host connections. Check the computer has a USB-C data port and compare the required connector types with the devices you plan to keep attached.

Use the included supply for powered desktop accessories

The package includes a 65W external adapter, so USB100 has a separate supply for the hub rather than relying only on the host connection. The guide lists selected front-port accessory charging at up to 15W on one USB-C socket and up to 7.5W on one USB-A socket. Those are port-specific ceilings. They do not establish that all connected devices can draw their individual maximums at once, because the system shares its power budget. Match the device to the appropriate port and leave room for the adapter and outlet when planning a fixed desk position.

Read the speed and charging figures as different claims

The 5Gbps figure describes the listed USB interface, not a measured copy speed for a particular drive. Actual transfers also depend on the computer, cable, device, and activity on the shared hub. The charging ratings describe accessory power on selected ports, not laptop charging. Keep those roles separate when comparing USB100 with a dock: it can expand data connections and provide an external hub supply, but the listed accessory-charging ports do not make the computer's USB-C port a PD passthrough input. Before settling on it, count how many devices use USB-C versus USB-A and reserve the front ports with listed charge ratings for accessories that need them; the guide does not say how those outputs behave together. This makes the seven-port count useful only if the host's USB-C data connection and included cable reach the intended work area. A USB-A-only host needs a different, separately checked connection plan.

Keep display and host charging requirements separate

CORSAIR's quick-start guide explicitly says USB100 does not provide video output over USB-C. It therefore should not be selected as an HDMI or DisplayPort dock, even though the hub uses a USB-C host connection. The saved product layout also does not list a USB-C PD input for charging the laptop. If the desk needs a monitor or host charging, choose a different product whose exact model documents those functions. USB100 remains a data-expansion hub with selected accessory-charging output, not an all-purpose notebook dock.

Confirm the model and package in the current search result

The official product page identifies USB100 as model CU-9000003-NA, but the frozen historical ASIN B09PNNJ421 did not resolve to an exact current offer in the saved check. Use the tagged model search and compare the selected item with the official seven-port map, 65W adapter, and one-metre USB-C cable. Do not treat the search query or historical ASIN as proof that a present result is the same package. The product review uses CORSAIR specifications only and makes no personal-test, price, availability, or customer-review claim.
