Think through a mixed-floor route
A home with rugs between hard-floor areas asks more of a vacuum-and-mop system than an open tiled room. The retracting mop is the distinctive design choice here. Map the places you expect it to cross before buying and read the setup guidance. We have not tested the robot’s behavior on your rug pile, transitions, or floor finish.
Refilling is different from washing
The Auto-Fill dock handles water supply and dust emptying. That does not mean it washes the mop pad. If avoiding pad cleaning is your main reason to upgrade, compare the X10 Pro Omni’s dock functions carefully. If you do not need mopping at all, the vacuum-only Roomba j9+ removes the water-and-pad part of the ownership routine.

No. The Combo j9+ adds mopping and an Auto-Fill dock. The j9+ described separately on this site is the vacuum-only model.
