Our take
The PRJD901 offers a broad set of inputs and direct USB media playback for simple home viewing. Its native 800 × 480 image and brightness figure without an ANSI basis are substantial constraints, so choose it only when the price and modest use case justify a careful exact-unit check.
Casual home viewing with a modest image, controlled light, and an external power outlet.
It is not suited to fine text, native Full HD viewing, a bright room, a hard ANSI threshold, or a battery-powered outdoor setup.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- Pyle documents HDMI, dual USB, VGA, AV, component, and analog audio connections.
- The USB host can read local files, including text documents, without a separate streaming platform.
- Manual focus and adjustable keystone give basic control over a temporary setup.
What to weigh up
- Native 800 × 480 is far below Full HD despite accepting 1080p signals.
- The 2,200-lumen claim is not labeled ANSI and cannot meet an ANSI-filtered need.
- Pyle lists AC power, and the model is not documented for built-in battery operation.

Full review: how the features affect your choice
What the features mean for you
Treat native resolution as the main tradeoff
Pyle's official PRJD901 page lists a native resolution of 800 × 480 pixels and separately says that the projector supports 1080p media playback. The supported input is not the same as native image detail; higher-resolution content is scaled to the panel. This distinction affects subtitles, menus, spreadsheets, and text-heavy presentations more than casual video. If the audience needs to read small labels or compare fine image details, choose a higher native resolution. For an informal movie in a small dark room, the simpler panel may be acceptable, but the maximum 140-inch claim does not turn it into a Full HD model.
Keep the lumen basis unknown
Pyle lists 2,200 lumens but does not state ANSI or another measurement method on the reviewed product page. That value cannot be compared directly to an ANSI-rated projector and is not used in the ANSI profile field. The practical choice should account for room light and image size, and a buyer should see the exact unit working before relying on a large picture. A product page's maximum diagonal is not a brightness guarantee. If a room will remain bright or the audience is large, choose a projector with a consistent ANSI specification and enough native detail for the content.
Local USB playback is useful but limited
The page describes USB flash-drive playback for image, video, audio, and text files. It also lists two HDMI inputs, VGA, AV, component video, and audio connections. That selection can handle several older and newer sources, but the exact file formats and codecs should be tested with the material you plan to show. USB playback does not mean the projector has built-in streaming apps. For Netflix or another protected service, use an external device and confirm its video mode, sound route, and power connection. Readable local files may still render differently than they do on a computer.
Plan around mains power and manual adjustment
Pyle lists 100/240 V power and manual focus, along with ±15 degrees of keystone correction. The source does not establish an internal battery, so plan for an outlet and a safe extension path rather than assuming that the projector can run untethered outdoors. Place the projector on a stable surface, square it to the screen, and use the focus control at the final distance. Keystone can correct limited geometry but does not add pixels or brightness. The page's adjustable screen-size feature is not a substitute for measuring the throw distance, which is not numerically specified in the source reviewed here.
Sound and file features need a real setup check
Pyle identifies built-in stereo speakers and an RCA audio output. The specification does not quantify speaker power on the product page reviewed here, so plan only for a basic local audio option until the exact manual is checked. A separate soundbar or room system may be more appropriate for a larger space. Pyle also describes a text-file viewer, which may be convenient for simple materials but should not replace a laptop when formatting is important. Check image orientation, aspect-ratio selection, menu controls, and the remote before mounting or placing the projector in a hard-to-reach position.
Inspect the unit and its included cables
Pyle lists a remote, power cable, AV cable, and VGA cable in the box, but a historical or renewed offer may not include the original package. The exact unit should be checked for focus, image uniformity, keystone controls, sound, USB playback, and all required input ports. The LED source and stated long lamp life are model specifications, not proof that the device has been stored well or remains undamaged. Ask for the product label and a demonstration with your intended source. The historical ASIN has not been mapped to a current offer, so use an exact-model Amazon search and inspect seller-provided details.
Compare for your needs
For an ANSI-rated XGA presentation model, compare Epson PowerLite 83c or LG BX327. For a low-cost portable design, compare a model whose native resolution and battery support are documented more clearly.

Before you buy
Is PRJD901 native 1080p?
No. Pyle lists 800 × 480 native pixels. The 1080p statement refers to supported input or media playback.
Can the 2,200-lumen figure be compared to ANSI models?
No. Pyle does not label the figure ANSI on the checked product page, so its standardized output remains unknown.
Does it have a built-in streaming platform?
Pyle documents local USB playback and wired inputs, not streaming apps. Use an external source for online services.
Where can I check the current price?
Use the Amazon link for current offers. Check the exact model, seller, product condition, delivery, and return terms. This page does not display a live price or confirm stock.
