Our take
Midwest Tropical's Rectangle AquaTower RT-3000 is a source-listed 30-gallon acrylic aquarium built as a tall tower rather than a broad conventional rectangle. Dream Fish Tanks gives a 14.5 × 10 × 66-inch envelope and itemizes an outside power filter, under-gravel filter with lift tube, air pump, tubing, artificial plants, header, base and fluorescent light. The listing also identifies SKU RT-3000. This is distinct from the PT-3000 Pentagon AquaTower packet. Historical ASIN B004HGZUB2 is not crosswalked to this current dealer page, so confirm the exact code, height and box contents before treating it as the same offer.
A buyer comparing a tall, narrow-floor-footprint 30-gallon acrylic aquarium who can plan for its height and confirm the seller package..
Not for a buyer without room for a 66-inch-tall aquarium, someone requiring a glass tank or separate sump, or anyone needing the historical ASIN confirmed as a current exact Amazon package.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- The dealer names Midwest Tropical and gives SKU RT-3000 for the rectangular AquaTower.
- A listed 30-gallon capacity, acrylic body and 14.5 × 10 × 66-inch dimensions distinguish its tall form.
- The seller provides a detailed list of filtration, air and lighting components.
What to weigh up
- The listed 66-inch height and 77-pound product weight leave filled-load and room-clearance questions.
- The historical ASIN and exact Amazon package are not mapped to the dealer listing.
- Named filters and light are package descriptions, not measurements of flow, output or maintenance performance.

What the features mean for you
Confirm RT-3000 and keep the Pentagon model distinct
Dream Fish Tanks titles its page Midwest Tropical Rectangle AquaTower, names SKU RT-3000 and describes a rectangular tank. Midwest Tropical's separate PT-3000 is a Pentagon AquaTower with a different shape and model code. Similar family wording does not prove that the products share dimensions or package details. The frozen row's ASIN B004HGZUB2 is not cross-referenced by the dealer page. When checking an offer, match the RT-3000 label and rectangular format rather than accepting any AquaTower result as equivalent.
A tall shape trades floor width for vertical clearance
The seller lists outside dimensions of 14.5 × 10 × 66 inches. Its narrow footprint is the defining placement difference from a long 30-gallon rectangle, while the 66-inch height creates a substantial vertical-clearance requirement. The page also lists a 77-pound product weight, but that is not filled operating weight or a stand rating. Measure the full space, check overhead clearance for access and servicing, and obtain support requirements for the actual aquarium before deciding where it can sit. Do not infer a suitable cabinet from the small base alone.
The source lists acrylic construction and 30 gallons
Dream Fish Tanks describes the RT-3000 as a freshwater acrylic tower with a 30-gallon capacity. These seller fields support matching it to ten-plus capacity and acrylic comparisons. They are listed specifications, not a measurement of usable operating volume or an independent test of clarity or strength. The page does not provide a complete engineering drawing or explain how the listed gallons relate to operating fill level. Confirm capacity, material and exact dimensions against a current item label before using those values for equipment or space planning.
The filtration package has several named parts
The product page describes concealed filtration and lists an outside power filter, under-gravel filter with lift tube, air pump and airline tubing. That package is more detailed than a tank-only listing, but the page does not give flow rate, media capacity, noise, service interval or performance results. The finder's sump requirement remains unmet: concealed or under-gravel filtration is not evidence of a separate sump. Ask whether every named component is included in the exact item offered and request the manual if the filtration arrangement affects your installation.
Lighting and decorations are package claims
Dream Fish Tanks lists a fluorescent light fixture, artificial plant decorations, black acrylic base and header cap as included pieces. This gives shoppers a starting box list to compare with a bare aquarium or a modern LED kit. The source does not state bulb type, wattage, measured output, timer or replacement availability. Nor does an included light establish suitability for a particular planted or marine display. Confirm fixture details and the actual seller's package, especially if the listing is not sold under the exact RT-3000 code.
Where RT-3000 fits in the finder
Its 30-gallon and acrylic listing puts RT-3000 in ten-plus acrylic cases and the flexible comparison, but not in glass-only results. The named filter package is not a sump, and the source does not describe wall mounting. The tall, narrow shape adds a placement tradeoff that is unlike the shallow Vepotek cylinder or the 24 × 12 × 16-inch glass ADB11020. These differences help compare what is known about construction, nominal size, equipment and envelope; they do not determine livestock suitability or certify a support surface.
Check the current offer and full measurements
The Amazon destination searches for Midwest Tropical RT-3000 Rectangle AquaTower and includes buyershortlists-20. It is not a direct link to historical ASIN B004HGZUB2, because no source maps that ASIN to this dealer package. Search results may surface the distinct PT-3000 Pentagon model or other AquaTower sizes. Verify RT-3000, the 30-gallon description, all three outside measurements and each listed component in the current seller's written terms. The research does not establish current Amazon price, availability, seller condition or exact box contents for the historical row.
What else to compare
For a 30-gallon tower with a smaller listed base but a different shape and code, verify the exact AquaTower variant rather than substituting PT-3000 Pentagon facts. For a standard-height glass tank, compare the distinct ADB11020 at 20 gallons and 24 × 12 × 16 inches.
Before you buy
What dimensions does the RT-3000 page list?
Dream Fish Tanks gives 14.5 × 10 × 66 inches and a 77-pound product weight. The latter is not filled weight or a support rating.
Is RT-3000 the same as PT-3000?
No. RT-3000 is listed as a rectangle tower; PT-3000 is a separate pentagon model. Their facts and packages should not be merged.
Does the listing document a sump?
No. It names concealed, outside power and under-gravel filtration, plus an air pump; it does not identify a separate sump.
What light is included?
The retailer lists a fluorescent light fixture but does not give wattage, output, timer or replacement details.
Is ASIN B004HGZUB2 a current direct match?
That historical clue is not mapped to the dealer listing. The affiliate link is a tagged model search for RT-3000.
Where can I check the current price?
Use the Amazon link for current offers. Check the exact model, seller, product condition, delivery, and return terms. This page does not display a live price or confirm stock.
