Our take
The InFocus LP600 is an older meeting-room projector that pairs native XGA with PC-free USB playback and several computer and video connections. It is a practical legacy presentation candidate only when a working unit, lamp, and the room's existing sources are confirmed.
A meeting room with legacy computer inputs or prepared USB files where simple local playback is useful.
It is not a Full HD home-theater projector, app-streaming system, or comparable-brightness choice when an ANSI figure is required.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- InFocus documents native XGA and 2000 lumens in standard mode.
- LitePort can play prepared files from a USB flash drive without a connected computer.
- M1-DA, VESA, S-Video, and component connections serve older meeting rooms.
What to weigh up
- The datasheet does not label its 2000-lumen figure ANSI.
- Native 4:3 XGA is limited for current widescreen video and detailed text.
- Wireless and network management features require optional modules or software.

What the features mean for you
What kind of meeting content fits the LP600?
InFocus describes the LP600 as a meeting-room projector and specifies native XGA resolution. Its 4:3 panel fits older slide decks and computer material, but it offers less horizontal and total detail than modern WXGA or Full HD devices. The datasheet says it can display files directly through LitePort, which may reduce the setup needed for a prepared presentation. That local playback function does not change the projector into a modern smart display. Match the source files and slide aspect ratio to the screen, and check that the LitePort reader recognizes the formats you need.
How much can you infer from 2000 lumens?
The InFocus datasheet rates 2000 lumens in standard mode and 1500 in whisper mode, but it does not identify the measurement as ANSI. The profile therefore leaves the ANSI field unknown. That prevents a misleading direct rank against models whose documents specify ANSI output. This is an older lamp projector, and the published values describe original equipment rather than a used unit's current brightness. Ask the seller for lamp hours, inspect a uniform image, and check focus across the screen. The actual room, mode, image size, and lamp state determine whether it will suit the presentation.
Can the projector fit a fixed room?
InFocus's datasheet includes a distance and image-size chart for table or ceiling planning. Use the actual lens-to-screen distance and desired image dimensions rather than estimating from the chassis size. The chart describes a conventional projection path, not ultra-short-throw furniture placement. Its setup controls include automatic keystone, but digital correction is not equivalent to optical lens shift. Align the projector physically where possible and verify that the screen can be filled before installing a bracket. The brochure does not establish every detail of an individual unit's optical condition or included mounting parts.
What do LitePort and optional wireless add?
LitePort supports PC-free playback from a standard USB flash drive, while the projector also accepts M1-DA and VESA computer inputs, S-Video, component video, and audio. The datasheet describes optional LiteShow wireless and ProjectorNet management equipment. Those options are not evidence that every LP600 includes a wireless module or that the projector has a built-in streaming-app service. Check the exact listing for the modules, cables, remote, and software license, then test the reader and each source connection. A small USB presentation can be convenient, but the actual file format and resolution still need to match the manual.
Who should choose a newer presentation model?
Choose LP600 when prepared USB playback and legacy meeting connections match a room that already expects XGA. NEC VT700 adds a manual and distance specification with DVI-I and VGA, while Hitachi CP-DX250 documents HDMI and a 2500 ANSI-lumen rating for a different XGA setup. Those ratings cannot be compared directly with the LP600's generic lumens. If the room has HDMI-only laptops, high-resolution charts, or no time to maintain old lamps, a newer model may be easier to integrate. Check the LP600's lamp, cooling, LitePort slot, and connector panel on the exact unit.
What else to compare
NEC VT700 provides DVI-I and VGA with an unqualified 3000-lumen rating; Hitachi CP-DX250 adds HDMI and a stated 2500 ANSI-lumen rating.
Before you buy
What is the LP600's native resolution?
InFocus specifies native XGA resolution for the LP600 meeting-room projector.
Is the standard-mode 2000-lumen figure ANSI?
The InFocus datasheet says 2000 lumens but does not identify an ANSI measurement basis.
Can it play a presentation without a laptop?
Yes. The datasheet describes PC-free LitePort playback from a USB-compatible flash drive.
