Our take
Epson's EB-U32 is a native WUXGA 1920 × 1200 3LCD projector aimed at business presentations. Epson lists 3,200 color lumens measured to IDMS 15.4 and 3,200 white lumens measured to ISO 21118, with a 200 W UHE lamp, manual 1.2× optical zoom, and a 1.38–1.68:1 throw. The connection list includes two HDMI inputs, one with MHL, VGA, composite, USB, and wireless LAN. This gives a meeting-room buyer more native vertical detail than WXGA models, but the lamp and conventional distance make it a powered installation rather than a battery travel device.
Business presentations where a 16:10 WUXGA image and multiple wired inputs matter more than battery travel or integrated apps..
It is not for a wall-hugging UST cabinet, a battery-required trip, or a streaming-first home setup. The color and white light figures are not ANSI values and should not be converted into that filter.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- WUXGA 16:10 native resolution provides 1920 × 1200 pixels for dense presentation material.
- Epson gives separate color and white brightness measures with named standards.
- Manual optical zoom and two HDMI inputs make source and placement planning more flexible.
What to weigh up
- The 200 W lamp needs mains power and has unit-specific remaining life.
- Its 1.38–1.68:1 ratio needs a normal distance from projector to screen.
- Wireless presentation networking does not establish built-in video-streaming apps.

Full review: how the features affect your choice
What the features mean for you
WUXGA creates useful room for 16:10 slides
Epson identifies native 1920 × 1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio for the EB-U32. That vertical space can help when projecting spreadsheets, documents, and widescreen presentations that would otherwise be scaled to a lower panel. The panel remains WUXGA rather than 4K, and accepting a Full HD or higher input does not change the native grid. A classroom or conference room that uses 16:10 content can make direct use of the format. For movie-first buyers, a native 1920 × 1080 cinema model may fit the usual screen shape more naturally.
Read Epson's color and white output separately
Epson lists 3,200 color lumens under IDMS 15.4 and 3,200 white lumens under ISO 21118. Those figures describe different measured outputs and are not an ANSI rating. They can help compare Epson's documented color and white output on their stated basis, but they should not be entered as 3,200 ANSI lumens. Screen size, ambient light, lamp mode, and lamp age still affect a specific presentation. If the ANSI filter is essential, this model's ANSI value remains unknown in the matching profile.
Measure a conventional throw and use the optical zoom
Epson documents a 1.38–1.68:1 projection ratio and a manual 1.2× optical zoom. A 60-inch image is listed at roughly 1.8 to 2.17 meters in Epson Australia's specification table. Measure from the lens to the planned screen and confirm the target diagonal before choosing a table, shelf, or ceiling mount. Optical zoom offers some flexibility after the body is placed, but the projector is not ultra-short-throw and it has no documented lens shift in the checked packet. It cannot solve every side-offset or close-wall placement problem.
Dual HDMI and wireless LAN support presentation sources
Epson lists two HDMI ports, with one supporting MHL, plus VGA, composite video, USB, and wireless LAN. A presenter can connect a laptop or suitable media device directly, while Epson's iProjection support provides a wireless route for compatible computers and mobile devices. That network capability is for sharing content; it does not mean the projector has a television-app platform built into it. Verify that the exact source device supports the intended wireless method, and plan adapters for a phone or legacy computer that does not have a matching output.
The portable label still describes a lamp projector
Epson markets the EB-U32 as portable, and its 2.6 kg listed mass is lighter than a large-venue installation model. It still needs AC power and uses a 200 W UHE lamp. Epson specifies lamp life figures by normal and ECO mode, but those are model claims rather than the remaining hours on a used unit. Check the lamp timer, replacement status, filter, remote, and the condition of the optical zoom and focus before purchase. A soft carrying case was listed in the Australian box contents, but check any current seller's actual included accessories.
Compare for your needs
Epson PowerLite 2155W has WXGA rather than WUXGA but a brighter specified meeting-room output and network functions. NEC VT47 has explicit ANSI output and legacy analog ports but much lower SVGA resolution.

The decision
The EB-U32 is a presentation-focused option for buyers who can use native WUXGA detail and a measured conventional throw. Keep Epson's color/white methods separate from ANSI and verify lamp condition and source compatibility.
