Our take
The Emotn A1 is a small native-720p projector whose manufacturer gives a comparatively useful 150 ANSI-lumen rating. Dangbei lists manual focus and keystone, a 5 W speaker, multiple wired inputs, and USB-C input that accepts a 20 V/45 W power bank. That last point gives it flexible placement, but the battery is external and must be separately supplied. A 100-inch image is listed at about 8.86 feet, so this is not a UST projector. Its strengths fit modest dark-room viewing rather than a bright family room.
Casual portable viewing with a separately supplied 20 V/45 W power bank or wall adapter in a small dark room.
It is not a cordless-out-of-the-box model, a native Full HD projector, an ultra-short-throw option, or a strong pick for lights-on viewing.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- The 1280 × 720 native panel is clearly distinguished from the page's 1080p input-support wording.
- 150 ANSI lumens gives a named basis for comparison within this low-output class.
- USB-C power-bank support can make placement more flexible when the correct external power source is available.
What to weigh up
- An external bank or wall adapter is required; the A1 does not have an established internal battery.
- Manual focus and keystone require setup by hand, and the conventional throw needs measured distance.
- Current EmotnOS app and service support is not established by the checked product page.

Full review: how the features affect your choice
What the features mean for you
Treat 720p as the native detail level
Dangbei's comparison table lists 1280 × 720, while nearby marketing wording says the A1 supports 1080p. The distinction matters: a projector can accept a higher-resolution signal and still display it on a lower-resolution panel. Native 720p can work for casual viewing on a modest image, but text and fine detail will not match a Full HD projector. Match the source device to what you actually watch, and do not select it on the assumption that a 1080p input claim means native 1080p.
150 ANSI lumens calls for controlled light
The product table explicitly rates the A1 at 150 ANSI lumens. That is a low output for a full-size image, even though the named method makes the figure easier to compare than an unspecified lumen claim. Room light, screen size, surface color and picture mode still affect the result. A small image in a dark bedroom or den is a more realistic target than a large picture with lamps on. Treat any used model's current output as unknown until you see it operating.
Measure the conventional throw before setup
Dangbei lists a 100-inch image at roughly 8.86 feet. That placement distance is consistent with a conventional lens, not an ultra-short-throw design. Measure from the lens to the screen rather than from the front edge of a table, then leave room for power and source cables. The A1 has manual focus and manual keystone correction, so square placement and a flat surface reduce the amount of correction needed. Digital keystone can help align an image, but it should not be used as a substitute for planning the correct distance.
Power-bank use is flexible but still external
Dangbei says the USB-C input can accept a 20 V, 45 W power bank. That is useful when a wall outlet is inconvenient, yet it is an external power path: the bank, cable and capacity are separate parts of the setup. Do not count that compatibility as a built-in battery or assume any phone charger can provide enough power. Check the exact power requirements and bank output, then test the combination before taking it away from home. The included adapter and package contents of an individual offer remain unit-specific.
Keep app and source expectations practical
The A1 page names EmotnOS and lists HDMI, USB, AV, audio, USB-C and DC connections. It does not establish which streaming applications are currently available or supported, so an HDMI stick or another external source is the safer plan when a particular service matters. The single 5 W speaker can serve basic casual viewing, but a room with conversation or larger audiences may benefit from separate audio. Check the input panel, remote, adapter, focus, keystone, sound and USB playback on a used unit before relying on it.
Compare for your needs
For a larger or brighter image, compare a projector with a higher explicitly rated output. For cordless use without an external bank, choose a model whose exact manual confirms an internal battery and runtime.

Before you buy
Is Emotn A1 native 1080p?
No. Dangbei's comparison table gives 1280 × 720 native resolution; its 1080p wording refers to supported input.
Does it have its own battery?
The checked source describes USB-C power-bank input, not an internal battery. Plan on a wall adapter or a compatible external 20 V/45 W bank.
How far away is a 100-inch image?
Dangbei lists about 8.86 feet, which is a conventional placement distance rather than UST.
