Our take
The base EMEET C980 is a 1080p webcam with a four-microphone array, but it is not the C980 Pro already covered separately. EMEET's joint manual lists both models: each is 1920×1080 at 30fps with a 5cm-to-5m fixed-focus range, while two built-in speakers are listed for the Pro model only. The base camera's audio array is the clearest documented distinction from a basic single-mic webcam; it does not make the base C980 a speakerphone.
A basic fixed-position call setup where a microphone array matters more than autofocus, speakers, 4K or a verified privacy cover..
Not for autofocus, 4K, 1080p60, integrated speaker playback, confirmed physical cover or a documented diagonal field.

What the features mean for you
Base C980 is not C980 Pro
EMEET's manual names HD Webcam C980 and HD Webcam C980 Pro in separate model columns. Both list 1920×1080 at 30fps and a fixed-focus range, but the audio line adds two 1W speakers only for C980 Pro. That difference matters to a buyer who wants a single device for video, microphones and room playback. This entry covers the base C980 and should not inherit the Pro's speakers, cover or other product-page claims.
Video and fixed focus
The manual gives a 1080p30 mode and a fixed focus range from 5cm to 5m. It does not document a 4K or 60fps mode, and autofocus is not listed. A stable desk distance is the simplest use; someone who moves closer to a whiteboard or away from the camera should prefer a model with documented autofocus. The joint manual does not supply a diagonal field-of-view figure for the base C980.
Microphones and privacy claims
The base C980 is listed with four microphones and active noise cancellation. Those maker claims do not establish measured pickup quality in a room. The historical candidate title says a webcam cover is included, but the checked manual does not map that cover to the base C980 ASIN or package. Do not borrow the Pro's magnetic cover or angle data when comparing this older model. The connector shape and whether any privacy control stops audio remain unknown.
Who should consider it
Consider the base C980 only if 1080p30, fixed focus and a four-microphone array fit the setup, without a requirement for speaker playback or autofocus. EMEET's manual supports the model distinction, but historical ASIN B07SG25DS4 and the title-only cover claim remain unverified. Use the tagged C980 search and confirm the base-versus-Pro model name and exact package before buying. Current app support and measured video/audio performance are not established; this review is not based on hands-on testing.
A separate speaker is needed for playback
The base C980's four microphones are an input path; they do not provide room audio playback. EMEET's manual assigns two speakers to C980 Pro, so a buyer choosing the non-Pro unit should plan to use computer or separate speakers if incoming call audio needs to fill a room. This difference is more important than the shared 1080p name when selecting between these two products, and it is why the models remain separate in the catalog.
What else to compare
For an integrated speaker or privacy cover, compare the separately documented C980 Pro; for changing distances, choose a model with confirmed autofocus.

The decision
Choose base C980 only when a fixed-focus 1080p camera and four microphones suffice; verify the listing is non-Pro and do not assume Pro accessories.
