Our take
The exact-code retailer page supports a black Bionaire tower fan named BT36R-BU, but provides too little model-specific evidence for a feature recommendation.
Use this only as an identity-led search profile if you can check an exact -BU manual and listing before relying on any operating requirement..
Not for shoppers who require a verified timer, remote, speed count, oscillation, voltage or current exact Amazon offer.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- Best Buy identifies the BT36R-BU model code and tower-fan form.
- The page identifies the product as black, a useful listing-level check.
- The profile keeps the similar BT36R-U suffix and its separate manual out of this model's facts.
What to weigh up
- No exact -BU source establishes its speed count, timer, remote or oscillation.
- The historical Amazon page was unreadable and does not establish a current offer.
- Electrical input, sound, airflow, room coverage and package contents remain unknown.

What the features mean for you
What the exact-code page confirms
Best Buy's page identifies model BT36R-BU as a black Bionaire tower fan. This exact-code identity is more useful than relying on a similar product name, but it supplies only a narrow feature record. The historical Amazon ASIN B00MMZUZI8 was unreadable, so the retailer page does not establish that the old ASIN is a current exact offer. The product can be searched by the complete suffix, but a buyer should verify the model marking and the seller's own description rather than assume that all BT36R versions are interchangeable.
Do not transfer nearby model features
A separate BT36R-U manual exists, but the saved sources do not map that suffix to BT36R-BU. Similar letters and a shared product family are not enough to transfer speed, timer, remote, oscillation or electrical details. The frozen title's remote wording is also not confirmed by the exact-code retailer page. Keep all of these features unknown for the -BU profile until an exact manual or other model-level source establishes them. This boundary prevents a buyer from relying on controls documented for a different suffix.
Operating details remain open
The available exact-code page does not establish the number of speeds, whether a remote is included, whether the base oscillates, how long any timer runs, or which modes are available. It also does not give a voltage, frequency, wattage, sound result or airflow measurement. Those are meaningful gaps for a shopper comparing a tower fan against a hard requirement. The absence of those details is not proof that the features are absent; the profile leaves them unknown rather than assigning negative values or using the nearby BT36R-U manual as a substitute.
Retailer status and performance limits
Best Buy reports that it no longer offers the product new from that retailer. That status describes one seller and does not establish whether another retailer has inventory. No current Amazon offer, price, stock, or exact ASIN relationship is verified. Nor do the saved sources support claims about quiet operation, airflow strength, durability, room coverage or energy use. A buyer who needs any of those facts should locate a source tied to the exact BT36R-BU code. This review is an evidence-limited guide, not hands-on testing or a customer-review summary.
A cautious way to shop this model
Use the tagged BT36R-BU search as a starting point, then check the complete model suffix on the product label and ask for a matching manual before counting a remote, timer, speed level or electrical feature. Confirm whether the offer is new or used and what accessories are included. Do not link directly to B00MMZUZI8 as if it were a verified current product page. This profile is most useful to a shopper who already wants the identified black tower-fan model and can verify the rest; it is not a dependable answer to a strict operating specification.
What else to compare
Compare only against Bionaire models with their own exact suffix and manual evidence; no feature-equivalent sibling is established here.
