Our take
The manual-backed Amazon Basics DC1663 is a compact 28-inch mechanical tower with three speeds, oscillation, 120 V and 35 W; the current child offer is B09GDH3DF4.
Consider the current DC1663 child variant for a compact mechanical tower; choose another model if a remote, timer or verified 60 Hz pair is required..
Not for buyers who require a remote, timer, documented 60 Hz frequency, full-height tower or a historical B09N9CKYF2 crosswalk.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- The AmazonBasics-authored manual identifies model DC1663 and a 28-inch tower-fan format.
- Three speeds, mechanical push-button controls and oscillation are documented.
- The manual lists 120 V and 35 W for model-level electrical reference.
What to weigh up
- The manual does not establish a remote or timer.
- It lists 120 V but does not state frequency, so 120 V / 60 Hz is not confirmed.
- Current child B09GDH3DF4 is not a crosswalk to historical B09N9CKYF2.
The key details

What the features mean for you
A compact mechanical tower
The AmazonBasics-authored manual record names model DC1663 and lists a 28-inch tower fan with a 9.4-inch-square footprint and 27.8-inch height. This is a shorter format than a typical full-height floor tower, so it may be easier to place beside a desk or in a tighter corner. Measure the available space against the listed dimensions. Those numbers describe the model document and do not prove how much air reaches a particular seat or room. The manual separately lists three speed levels, which remain the supported speed selector value for DC1663. ([DC1663 manual record](https://manualsfile.com/product/k3i1az0egjc.html))
Three speeds and simple controls
The manual lists three speed settings, oscillation and push-button mechanical control. This gives the buyer a basic way to change fan output without relying on an electronic display. Oscillation is documented, but the manual record does not state a numeric sweep or measured airflow. A shopper who wants a specific angle, a remote or a sleep mode should check another exact model's instructions rather than assume those controls are part of DC1663. The three-speed count is the supported selector fact.
Electrical values and limits
The manual lists 120 volts and 35 watts for DC1663. These are model-document values, not an independent measurement of typical energy use. The record does not state 60 Hz frequency, so it cannot satisfy a strict 120 V / 60 Hz requirement. Check the exact unit label if electrical compatibility is decisive. Water-system status, timer duration, sound and airflow remain unknown in the saved sources, and the profile does not turn a missing field into a confirmed negative.
Use the correct Amazon child route
The direct B09GDH3DF4 child page identifies model DC1663 and the 28-inch mechanical-control version. Its parent variation data shows B09GDQG5VW as a separate 40-inch digital option. This supports the tagged exact child route for the documented DC1663 version, but it is not a crosswalk to frozen historical ASIN B09N9CKYF2. The three-speed value comes from the DC1663 manual and is not transferred to the old ASIN. Confirm the model label and mechanical control on the exact offer before ordering, and keep DC2021 and FZ10-9LR as separate models.
What this model does not establish
The saved manual does not document a timer, remote, app or voice control. It also provides no independent noise, airflow, durability or room-coverage result. If a buyer needs an automatic shutoff or control from across the room, this model should not match those conditions unless a source for the exact version appears. The current Amazon parent page provides a child-variant identity route but does not add those missing fan specifications or make historical B09N9CKYF2 the same item.
Who may choose DC1663
A buyer who wants a shorter tower with simple mechanical controls, three speeds and oscillation may prefer DC1663 to a taller feature-heavy model. The compromise is that the manual does not establish a timer or remote and leaves frequency unstated. Use the exact child option for the 28-inch mechanical version and inspect the model label on the offer. This is a model-document review, not a personal test, current-price claim or customer-review summary.
What else to compare
Compare Amazon Basics DC2021 as its separate 40-inch digital model or FZ10-9LR as its separate model packet.
Before you buy
What controls are listed for DC1663?
The manual describes push-button mechanical controls with three speeds and oscillation.
Does the manual confirm 120 V / 60 Hz?
It lists 120 V and 35 W but does not state frequency, so the pair remains unknown.
Is B09GDH3DF4 the old B09N9CKYF2 ASIN?
No. B09GDH3DF4 is a separately documented 28-inch mechanical child variant, not a historical crosswalk.
Does DC1663 have a remote or timer?
The saved manual does not establish either feature; verify another exact model source if needed.

The decision
Choose the documented DC1663 mechanical child when a compact three-speed tower suits you, and do not link it to the historical ASIN.
