Our take
The PocketCinema V10 Plus is a specialized pocket device rather than a small version of a current living-room projector. AIPTEK's archived sheet documents a 640 × 480 LCoS image, 10 lumens, a white LED source, and a lithium-ion battery. The manufacturer also describes local playback and AV-in recording, which explain the model's distinctive use. Its modest image range and very low output mean buyers should plan for a small picture in a dark space, and the 10-lumen figure is not labeled ANSI. The product sheet and B&H record connect the V10 Plus name with code PJV21X; neither proves that a historical marketplace offer is currently available.
A tiny dark-room image or legacy portable playback/recording use where the built-in battery matters more than brightness or modern resolution..
Skip it for a bright room, large screen, modern HD detail, a current app platform, or any comparison that requires a verified ANSI-lumen rating.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- The archived manufacturer sheet identifies a built-in lithium-ion battery and pocket-sized design.
- It documents onboard JPEG, MP3, and listed video playback plus AV-in recording.
- Manual focus and zoom support adjustment within its small documented image and distance range.
What to weigh up
- The 640 × 480 4:3 image is low resolution by current viewing standards.
- The 10-lumen figure is not labeled ANSI and is too low for an ambient-light presentation assumption.
- The reviewed sources disagree about internal-memory capacity, so memory size is omitted.

Full review: how the features affect your choice
What the features mean for you
Treat the image as a small dark-room picture
AIPTEK lists VGA 640 × 480 in a 4:3 format and gives a 6–50-inch diagonal image range. Although the upper end may look attractive in a table, the same sheet rates output at 10 lumens, without an ANSI method. That combination favors a modest image in a darkened setting rather than a large family movie or an office presentation with lights on. The native-pixel figure is a documented model specification; a particular older unit can still vary with optical condition, focus, and age.
Its portable case is more useful than its brightness
The manufacturer identifies a lithium-ion battery, so the model can operate without a nearby wall outlet. That helps when the intended screen is a temporary small surface or when a legacy video is being shown away from a normal projector setup. Battery presence does not establish runtime for a used unit: ask the seller about battery condition, charging, and whether the original power accessories are included. ANSI output remains unknown, and moving the device to a brighter room does not make its picture more suitable for that room.
Playback and recording are the distinguishing tools
The sheet describes playback of JPEG images, MP3 audio, and listed MPEG-4/H.264 video formats from internal or removable storage. It also describes AV input recording at 640 × 480 and 30 frames per second. Those are legacy local-media functions rather than a streaming operating system; plan on compatible files or a suitable external source and verify the exact connector and file format before relying on it. The maker's sheet and the B&H model-code record list different memory details, so this review does not promise a particular internal capacity.
Placement is manual and tied to a limited range
AIPTEK lists 21–180 cm projection distance for the 6–50-inch picture and describes manual focus and zoom. This gives a basic placement envelope, but the saved documents do not state an optical throw ratio. Measure the actual surface and available distance, leave access for focus adjustment, and do not assume that digital correction or lens shift is present. The unit is best approached as a portable projector with a finite small-screen setup, not as a close-wall home-theater appliance.
Check the exact legacy unit before depending on it
The sheet identifies LCoS imaging and a white LED source, and it lists removable-media formats and AV connections. On an older device, confirm startup, battery charging, focus, file compatibility, storage-card access, AV input, recording behavior, and cable availability on the exact unit. The rated source life or a seller's title cannot establish current condition. AIPTEK's archived material is the basis for these model facts; there is no current app ecosystem or verified current offer claim in this guide.
Compare for your needs
For a more recent battery projector, compare models with verified native resolution and ANSI output such as the saved AAXA or Miroir portable records. Those products use different image formats and feature sets; choose by the required screen size, brightness method, source input, and battery condition rather than by pocket size alone.

Before you buy
Is the V10 Plus 10 ANSI lumens?
The AIPTEK sheet says 10 lumens but does not label that figure ANSI, so this guide leaves ANSI brightness unknown.
Can it play media without a streaming stick?
AIPTEK documents local photo, audio, and listed video playback, but the reviewed sources do not establish streaming apps or a network platform.
Does it have an internal battery?
Yes. The manufacturer sheet lists a lithium-ion battery; its runtime and the condition of any used battery still need checking.

The decision
Choose the V10 Plus only for a small, dark-room legacy use that benefits from its battery and onboard playback/recording. Do not treat 10 unspecified lumens or its VGA format as a general home-theater specification.
