Our take
Acer C200 is an unusually small DLP projector for people who need a picture away from a wall outlet. Acer specifies a native 854 × 480 image, 200 ANSI lumens in standard mode, 160 in ECO, a built-in 6,700 mAh battery and an HDMI input. Those facts make it easy to understand the compromise: its battery and roughly 0.4 kg body help with placement, while its low pixel count and modest light output call for a small image in a dark room. The capacity rating does not reveal runtime, and no particular used unit's battery health is guaranteed.
Small-screen casual viewing or a simple presentation where portability matters more than image detail or brightness.
It is not for native HD detail, large bright rooms, ultra-short-throw placement, integrated streaming apps, or a buyer who needs a documented battery runtime.
Pros & cons
What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.
What works in its favor
- Acer documents an internal battery, so the projector can be placed without a nearby outlet.
- The 200-ANSI standard and 160-ANSI ECO figures are model-specific and clearly separated.
- HDMI and USB provide external-source options in a chassis around 0.4 kg.
What to weigh up
- Native 854 × 480 resolution has less detail than WXGA, Full HD or 4K projectors.
- A 200-ANSI rating favors dark surroundings and a modest image rather than daylight viewing.
- Acer lists battery capacity but not runtime, and a used battery may have aged.

Full review: how the features affect your choice
What the features mean for you
Decide whether WVGA detail is enough
Acer identifies the C200's native panel as 854 × 480 FWVGA. That widescreen format can show a casual video or a simple slide, but it has far fewer pixels than the WXGA or Full HD projectors elsewhere in this guide. Fine text, spreadsheet cells, detailed diagrams and subtitles become harder to read as the image grows. A connected source may send a higher-resolution signal, but that does not increase the projector's native pixel count. Choose a small image and content with clear, large elements if the C200's portability is the reason it appeals.
Treat ANSI output as a room-planning limit
Acer rates the C200 at 200 ANSI lumens in standard mode and 160 in ECO. Those are the manufacturer's model figures, not a guarantee of the brightness from a particular used projector. Ambient light, screen size, surface, picture settings and battery condition affect what a viewer sees. The rating favors a darkened room and a moderate image rather than a bright family room at midday. If you expect visible detail under ordinary room lights, compare a higher-output model and keep its measurement method beside the number rather than assuming other lumen claims are directly comparable.
Measure the 1.1:1 throw before setting it down
Acer lists a 1.1:1 throw ratio and gives an example of an 82-inch image from 2 metres. That is a fairly short conventional distance, but it is not an ultra-short-throw design that sits inches from the wall. Measure lens-to-screen distance and make room for a stable surface, focus adjustment and the path of the beam. The C200 uses manual focus and a fixed 1× optical ratio, so it does not offer optical zoom for fine image-size changes. Moving the projector is the direct way to change the picture size.
Use the battery as placement freedom, not a runtime promise
The internal 6,700 mAh battery lets the C200 operate without a wall outlet, which is its most practical distinction from many small home projectors. Acer does not provide a runtime in the checked specification, so capacity should not be turned into hours. Brightness mode, volume, battery age and operating conditions can affect duration. The HDMI and USB connections also mean a source device still needs power or its own charged battery. Check the particular unit's charging behavior and battery condition before relying on it for a trip or an event.
Plan for an external source and inspect the individual unit
Acer lists HDMI, USB and a 3.5 mm audio output; the checked pages do not establish an integrated streaming-app platform or a detailed built-in speaker specification. A streaming stick, phone or laptop can supply content over a compatible connection, but app playback belongs to that separate source. The LED life rating is a manufacturer estimate, not a statement about the condition of a used C200. Inspect the lens, charging port, battery, focus control and included power accessories. No saved source establishes current stock or the exact condition of a marketplace unit.
Compare for your needs
Mitsubishi PK10 is another pocket-scale option, but its native 800 × 600 panel uses an optional external battery. The C200 has the documented internal battery and a wider 854 × 480 image; neither replaces a brighter room projector.

The decision
Choose the C200 when outlet-free placement and low weight matter most. Its low native resolution, modest ANSI output and unspecified runtime are the decisive trade-offs.
