THE SHORT ANSWER

Our take

AAXA's P300 is a compact pico projector with a native 1280 × 800 WXGA image, RGB LEDs, manual focus, local USB and microSD playback, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery rated for 60-plus minutes. The brochure lists up to 500 lumens on DC and 200 lumens on battery, neither labeled ANSI. Its 1.4:1 throw ratio and 10–120-inch image range help with portability, but the low battery-mode figure points toward a small image in a dark setting. It is not the Android-equipped P300 Neo Smart, which has different specifications.

Consider it for

Short informal viewing or presentations where a small cordless image and local media playback matter more than ANSI brightness, app streaming, or a large screen.

Look elsewhere if

It is not a bright-room or large-screen cinema solution, and the brochure does not establish built-in streaming apps. Buyers requiring native 1080p should also note that 1080p is supported input, not the native panel resolution.

Pros & cons

What could work for you, and what to consider before buying.

What works in its favor

  • AAXA specifies native WXGA rather than leaving the panel resolution unknown.
  • The built-in battery and 60-plus-minute model rating support short cordless sessions.
  • HDMI, mini-VGA, composite, USB, and microSD cover several wired and local-media sources.

What to weigh up

  • The 500 DC and 200 battery lumen figures are not ANSI measurements.
  • A one-hour-class battery rating does not establish remaining runtime in an older unit.
  • Local file playback is not the same as built-in streaming apps or current service support.

Full review: how the features affect your choice

What the features mean for you

WXGA is native while 1080p is only an input format

AAXA lists a native 1280 × 800 panel and support for inputs up to 1920 × 1080. That difference matters because the P300 cannot show all the source pixels from a Full HD feed at native resolution. WXGA is still more detailed than a small VGA projector and fits slides or simple video in a compact setup, but tiny text and fine movie detail are limited. Check source material at the intended image size and distance. Do not compare its supported input number with a projector whose native panel actually has 1920 horizontal pixels.

Output changes between AC and battery modes

The brochure gives up to 500 lumens on DC and 200 lumens on battery, and it does not label either as ANSI. Those mode-specific values should remain separate. The more portable operating mode is also the dimmer one, so plan on a dark room, smaller screen, and clear sight lines rather than a bright living room. AAXA's rating is a model reference; it cannot establish how much output a used LED projector produces. If brightness matters, test the actual unit on the intended surface using its battery and AC modes.

The internal battery favors short sessions

AAXA rates the lithium-ion battery for 60-plus minutes. That is enough for a short clip or an informal presentation if the exact battery still holds charge, but it is not a promise for a full movie on an older unit. Battery age, operating mode, and ambient temperature can change runtime. Ask whether the supplied battery is the original one, check charge behavior, and keep the DC adapter available. For longer viewing, plan on a power outlet and the separate DC brightness rating rather than assuming the portable mode will last indefinitely.

Local playback and external connections are different

The P300 brochure lists USB-host and microSD playback as well as HDMI, mini-VGA, and composite A/V. Those are useful options when a source file is stored locally or a computer is nearby. They do not establish an integrated streaming operating system, app store, or current access to subscription services. A phone may need a compatible adapter or separate casting device. Confirm the file formats and cable requirements before relying on local playback, and do not confuse this P300 with the P300 Neo Smart, which is a separate AAXA model with Android software.

Focus, throw, and battery condition make the practical fit

AAXA specifies a 1.4:1 throw ratio, manual focus, and a 10–120-inch image range. The projector can be small enough to carry, but the lens still needs distance from the screen and the image should be kept modest if battery brightness is important. Measure the table-to-wall distance and align the chassis before using keystone adjustment. For a used offer, test the focus ring, ports, speaker output, and battery charge; inspect the lens and fan. The brochure identifies the P300's setup envelope, not the condition of the listing.

Compare for your needs

AAXA P300 Neo Smart is a separate 720p Android model with a different 90-minute Eco battery rating; compare the exact suffix and software.
