Why consider this model?

  • Sony USA calls the WF-C700N a closed earbud design and documents ANC and Ambient Sound Mode; the sealed-tip requirement can be compared without claiming the individual shopper will find a seal or comfort.
  • Sony’s model guide lists ANC-on music maxima of seven hours in SBC and 7.5 in AAC. The separate two-device plan was added by firmware 2.0.7 and playback switches between connected sources rather than mixing streams.

Tradeoffs to weigh

  • This is an earlier product reference, not evidence of current stock, offer price, seller identity, warranty, package completeness, condition or battery health.
  • The exact Black U.S. retail model is WFC700N/B; do not substitute White/Violet route codes or another C-series generation. No personal fit, ANC, sound or call test was performed.
  • Sony rates the earbuds IPX4 and explicitly says the case is not water resistant. What Hi-Fi separately corroborates that wireless charging is absent; Sony’s primary pages checked here document USB-C cable charging but do not spell out that negative.
  • Multipoint is not ready to assume from the package alone: verify firmware 2.0.7 or later and the compatible Sony Sound Connect app/device requirements. No codec-specific ANC runtime is published for multipoint.
