Assessment scenario for the earlier U.S. Galaxy Buds2 Graphite SM-R177NZKAXAR: a sealed fit, ANC and a Qi-capable case with a published five-hour, codec-unspecified ANC-on maximum per earbud charge. The maximum is not a used-battery estimate or present-stock claim, and this does not represent the visitor’s stated intent.

Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- Samsung’s North American SM-R177 manual instructs attaching an eartip and adjusting the earbud in the ear; Samsung also documents an app-based fit check. Neither guarantees a personal seal or comfort.
- Samsung’s U.S. launch specification lists a maximum of five ANC-on music hours per earbud charge. It is not linked to SBC, AAC or Samsung Scalable and it meets this unfiltered five-hour floor only at the published limit.
- Samsung lists Qi-certified wireless case charging; the North American manual describes cable or wireless charging. This establishes wireless capability, not a Qi pad in a particular seller’s box.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The five-hour ANC-on maximum is a broad manufacturer claim, not codec-specific and not attached to a two-device Multipoint setup; it does not satisfy six hours or any prediction about an aged battery.
- The model supports SBC/AAC Classic Audio and a separate compatible-host Samsung Scalable route. An iPhone can connect over Bluetooth, but Samsung says Buds2 is not compatible with the iOS Buds app; app controls and host-specific functions need verification.
- Samsung Canada lists IPX2 and no simultaneous multi-device connection; do not infer IPX4/IP57, case water resistance or Multipoint from Auto Switching. U.S. connector subtype and a wireless pad in the historical package are unconfirmed.
- This is a 2021 earlier model. Present availability, a seller’s actual carton, warranty, condition and battery health are not established.
Check these before ordering
- Match the exact U.S. order code SM-R177NZKAXAR; White, Olive and Lavender are distinct finish SKUs covered by the same functional assessment, not different ANC or runtime configurations.
- Inspect the actual seller’s earbuds and case, verify both batteries and charging function on the specific unit, and confirm seller condition, warranty, return terms and any included eartips/cable. A launch-era box list is not proof of resale contents.
- Confirm your playback device can use the intended Classic Audio or Samsung Scalable route. Do not apply the broad five-hour ANC maximum to SBC/AAC or Scalable without a sourced codec-specific duration.
- Try the tips and seal yourself within the return period; Samsung’s fit test cannot promise comfort or the best seal for your ears.
- Keep the earbuds and case dry, avoid immersion, and verify the charger/cable you need; no charging pad or wall charging head is established in the launch-era package.
