Google Pixel Buds Pro (2022 generation), Charcoal, is an earlier U.S.-launched sealed in-ear ANC configuration with Qi/USB-C case charging. This is an editorial comparison for an earlier-inclusive sealed ANC, six-hour broad-runtime and wireless-case scenario, not a statement of a visitor's intent or a current offer.

Assessment scenario: Earlier sealed ANC with wireless case charging and a six-hour floor

An editorial assessment scenario for an earlier sealed in-ear ANC arrangement with a wireless charging case and a manufacturer-published maximum of at least six hours per earbud charge. Case generation and current seller condition still require separate checks; this does not state the visitor’s intent.

Why consider this model?

  • Google documents removable S/M/L tips, a source-described seal check and active noise cancellation; these support the sealed ANC classification but do not guarantee personal fit, comfort or noise reduction.
  • Google publishes up to seven hours of continuous music with ANC on per earbud charge, which reaches the six-hour minimum in this broad, codec-unspecified query. The maximum is not a used-battery estimate and does not specify a Multipoint runtime.
  • The exact support specification lists Qi wireless and USB-C case charging. A Qi pad is not listed in the package, so wireless charging does not mean a pad is included.
  • Google documents two simultaneously connected source devices for Multipoint, but the mode is off by default, supports one playback stream at a time and has no separately documented ANC runtime for this configuration.

Tradeoffs to weigh

  • This is the first-generation Pixel Buds Pro (2022), not the current Pixel Buds Pro 2 or the separate Pixel Buds 2a. Google's current U.S. category does not list it, but no current third-party stock, seller condition, warranty or battery health is established.
  • The generic seven-hour ANC-on maximum does not establish an SBC, AAC, LDAC or Multipoint runtime. Google marks LE Audio unavailable for this generation; a codec requirement cannot be inferred from Bluetooth 5.0.
  • Google rates the earbuds IPX4 and the case IPX2. That split does not meet the finder's exact IPX4-earbuds-only option, does not establish IP57 on both parts and is not waterproofing.
  • The 2022 and 2023 launch sources identify six color finishes, but no finish-specific complete-unit U.S. SKU or present offer is established for Charcoal.
