Assessment scenario for the captured U.S. SET-QCE-AFSE components: Dewdrop Mint 2024 QuietComfort Earbuds plus White AirFly SE. The AirFly SE adds a wired 3.5 mm audio-source-to-Bluetooth route, but it does not establish compatibility with a particular seat jack or any unasked visitor preference.

Assessment scenario: Current sealed ANC earbuds with an AirFly SE headphone-jack transmitter
Assessment scenario: Bose set SET-QCE-AFSE pairs the selected Dewdrop Mint 2024 QuietComfort Earbuds with a White AirFly SE for a standard 3.5 mm source. The public finder does not ask whether an adapter is included; this is not a claim about the visitor’s intent or a specific seat connector.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- Bose identifies set code SET-QCE-AFSE and the selected QCEARB24-HEADPHONEIN-DDPMNT-WW / AFSE-3_5MM-TRANSMITTER-WHT components. Bose and Twelve South describe AirFly SE as a 3.5 mm wired-source transmitter for one Bluetooth headphone set.
- The included 2024 QuietComfort Earbuds are documented as sealed in-ear with ANC, and their case supports USB-C and compatible wireless-pad charging. Bose’s owner guide gives up to 8.5 hours of Quiet-mode ANC music, which exceeds this scenario’s six-hour floor.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- AirFly SE has its own battery and Bose states a separate 20-hour figure; Twelve South says 20+ hours. These figures are not combined with earbud runtime or measured as one system.
- Bose’s current support specification says up to nine hours for QCE 2024 ANC music, while the owner guide and 2024 launch say 8.5; the difference is retained. Personal fit, volume, settings and battery age can change real use.
- AirFly SE connects one headphone set, and Bose says AirFly does not support telephony. The reviewed sources do not establish a specific flight seat’s jack layout or the codec negotiated between this transmitter and QCE 2024.
- Bose rates the earbuds IPX4 but does not rate the charging case for water. The exact set page identifies selected components but not one consolidated outer-carton inventory.
Check these before ordering
- Match the Bose set code SET-QCE-AFSE, Dewdrop Mint earbud component QCEARB24-HEADPHONEIN-DDPMNT-WW and White AirFly SE AFSE-3_5MM-TRANSMITTER-WHT; verify both components are present.
- Confirm that the source has a compatible standard 3.5 mm output and identify any separate seat/equipment adapter you need. The reviewed set sources do not document every jack format.
- Check that the AirFly SE charging cable and earbud fit kit match the offer; Bose provides separate component-level details rather than a single seller-specific carton checklist.
- If your sources already stream directly over Bluetooth, compare the 2024 earbuds without the transmitter. Check seller condition, warranty and return terms, then test personal fit within the return window.
