Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- An earlier outdoor option when two separately switched outlets, Apple HomeKit control, scheduled Kasa operation and a distinct motor ceiling of 1/2 HP match the intended use; seller revision and condition still need verification.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- TP-Link marked the EP40A V1.0/V1.6/V1.8 family end-of-sale in February 2026. It is Wi-Fi/HomeKit, not a documented Matter model, and the checked model materials do not establish timer, Away Mode or energy-reporting support for every version.
Check these before ordering
- Confirm the exact model, generation, size and configuration in the offer.
- Compare your selected requirements with the detailed review before ordering.
- Check included accessories, seller, current availability and return terms.
