Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- A compact Makita 18V LXT choice where a one-handed body and close access matter more than a full-size saw format; Makita lists a 4 lb tool weight, 7/8 in stroke, variable-speed trigger and three blades in the tool-only package.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The exact XRJ08Z box includes neither an LXT battery nor charger, and the saw-only 4 lb figure is not its 5.5 lb battery-installed weight. Its short 7/8 in stroke and one-handed layout are distinct from Makita's longer-stroke, two-handed XRJ05 family; source claims about faster cuts or reduced vibration are not independent tests.
