The Bosch 18V compact saw has a 0.94-inch stroke, a brushless motor, variable-speed trigger and tool-free blade change. Its U.S. package page lists wood- and metal-cutting blades, but the page's 3.75 lb weight field does not reconcile with the matched manual's battery-dependent range, so a bare-tool ceiling is not verified.

Assessment scenario: Compare this exact model
Check the exact model and configuration against your choices, then compare the seller and offer details.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- A Bosch 18V owner who needs a short, in-line reciprocating saw body can consider the GSA18V-24N when the work still calls for a two-hand grip. Bosch lists a 13.3-inch length, brushless drive, variable-speed trigger, light and tool-free blade change; the exact U.S. package includes a wood blade and a metal blade, but no battery or charger.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- Compact does not mean one-handed: Bosch's matching instructions call for both hands. The sources do not establish an orbital selector or adjustable shoe. The page's 3.75 lb field and 3.8 lb promotional text conflict with the manual's battery-dependent 2.0–3.1 kg range, so this record cannot confirm a bare-tool weight limit; the exact page also does not settle case inclusion.
