A buyer who wants a full-size current M18 saw with tool-side ONE-KEY profiles and a selectable Cut Brake, already has an M18 battery and charger, and wants a documented 6.8 lb bare-tool figure.

The 2822-20 package contains the tool only; its 6.8 lb figure excludes the battery, while 8.4 lb describes the battery-installed saw. The manual warns that the Cut Brake may fail to engage in some light-material, inconsistent-pressure or insecure-workpiece conditions, so it is not a safety substitute or a guaranteed stop at every cut.
