Assessment scenario: Earlier two-slot manual-shade routine
A two-slice earlier-model comparison where the exact model code, manual, undocumented dimensions and offer condition must be checked rather than inferred from a family resemblance.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- The exact U.S. product page identifies base model 22642 as a red two-slice toaster and says No Longer Available.
- The exact page lists Toast Boost, a shade selector, automatic shutoff, cool-wall sides and a drop-down crumb tray; its own linked image shows two openings, one manual control group and a dial marked 1–7.
- The model meets the registered earlier-inclusive two-slice scenario without merging it with another code or inferring current stock.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- No present seller, offer condition, price, package or warranty is established by this manufacturer reference.
- No body dimensions, slot aperture or maximum food size are published; the photograph is not a measuring reference.
- The page-linked 840242600 U.S. table names 22622/type T105, not 22642. No electrical rating or exact-model operating directions transfer; the bounded recall notice is not unit-level clearance.
Check these before ordering
- Confirm the appliance label and seller listing both identify exact model 22642; do not substitute a nearby Proctor Silex code or infer the finish/package from a generic listing.
- Measure the actual body and the bread you use. Add operating space, cord routing and room to open the drop-down crumb tray; outside-body fit is not established by the record.
- Read the physical rating plate, obtain instructions that identify 22642, inspect condition and check the model/type/series against current manufacturer recall guidance and the seller’s return terms.
