Assessment scenario: Two slices under the 22305 body-only limits
A fixed assessment scenario for the exact black Proctor Silex 22305 with a two-slice batch, 6.5-inch body-width ceiling and 10.3-inch body-depth ceiling. These outside-body limits are not installation clearance or bread-fit measurements.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- The exact U.S. page identifies model 22305 in black and lists two-slice capacity, one seven-choice shade selector with Cancel, Toast Boost, a pullout crumb tray, base cord wrap, automatic cycle-end shutoff and a three-year limited warranty.
- The same page lists a 10.3 D x 6.5 W x 7.3 H inch outside body. It meets the landing scenario’s stated 6.5-inch width and 10.3-inch depth screens; neither value represents clearance.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The maker calls the openings extra wide and names bagels, but gives no aperture or maximum-food size and lists no dedicated Bagel or Frozen/Defrost button.
- The exact page links Use & Care 840281704, whose table names other models (22215/22216 and 24215) rather than 22305. Do not treat those electrical ratings, use steps or safety instructions as 22305 evidence; verify the exact rating label and obtain instructions tied to the unit.
- No toast-result, speed, evenness, noise, durability, ownership or customer-experience testing is represented. The saved 2008 recall list is bounded and not a unit-specific or comprehensive later-recall clearance.
Check these before ordering
- Verify the physical appliance label and seller listing both identify black model 22305; ask for model-specific instructions and confirm the toaster’s electrical rating from its own label.
- Measure the complete counter setup beyond the 6.5-by-10.3-inch body: ventilation and cord route, loading room, safe placement and access to the pullout tray remain separate requirements.
- Check actual bread against the openings because no numerical aperture or maximum slice size is published; use the seller’s return terms if fit is uncertain.
- Confirm condition, package contents, receipts, return policy and whether the exact offer qualifies for the maker’s stated three-year limited warranty.
