Assessment scenario: Two slices with a narrow published body limit
A two-slice routine under published outside-body limits of 5.3 inches wide and 10.1 inches deep; these figures do not include clearance or rear-tray access.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- The exact current U.S. page identifies the White 22216G, two-slice capacity, Toast Boost, Cancel, seven shade settings and 6.3 H x 5.3 W x 10.1 D inch body.
- The page links Use & Care booklet 840281704; its family table covers model 22216 with suffix letters at 120 V / 60 Hz / 700 W and gives a manual lifter, shade selector, Cancel and slide-out crumb tray.
- Under the landing need’s literal body-only caps, the published width and depth meet 5.3 and 10.1 inches respectively; this is not a clearance calculation.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The maker page says wide slots can accommodate bagels, but neither the exact page nor linked booklet documents a dedicated Bagel setting; no aperture or maximum food dimensions are published.
- The manual does not show a dedicated Defrost/Frozen setting; its frozen-food note says an additional cycle may be required and it excludes frozen prepared foods and nonbread items.
- No hands-on toast, speed, reliability, noise, durability or customer-experience testing is represented; no seller availability or current price is claimed.
Check these before ordering
- Verify the exact bottom label says 22216G White and that the included 840281704 instructions match the unit; the manual-family suffix note does not identify every retail package.
- Check the seller’s condition, included accessories, return terms and whether its three-year limited warranty applies to the actual offer.
- Measure the complete counter setup beyond the 5.3-by-10.1-inch shell: the manual forbids enclosed use and the rear crumb tray needs access; follow the exact manual rather than assuming zero clearance.
- For an older or used unit, ask the manufacturer to check the exact bottom label; the archived 2008 recall notice is bounded and not a unit-specific or comprehensive clearance.
