Assessment scenario: Four-opening independently controlled pairs and Bagel mode
Current-reference four-opening Hamilton Beach comparison with page-explicit independent left/right control sets and staggered starts, plus Bagel and One Slice. Its exact linked guide does not list Defrost.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- Exact page explicitly says two independent control sets and staggered starts, which supports separate left/right pairs—not four individual slots.
- Page and linked 840353001 guide identify Bagel and One Slice; guide table lists 24798 Type T120 at 120 V / 60 Hz / 1560 W and 1–7 shade.
- Exact outside body is 11.1 inches wide by 11.0 inches deep; page also lists cord wrap, auto shutoff and two slide-out trays.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- Exact page and guide differ on Bagel heat: the page describes cut-side heating while the guide describes adding time to both sides.
- The linked guide does not list Defrost; do not infer it from other four-slot Hamilton Beach models.
- No numeric usable aperture or maximum bread/bagel dimensions are published.
- Current-reference page does not prove any seller’s stock or condition.
Check these before ordering
- Verify exact model 24798, independent shade/control groups and actual supplied guide; do not confuse with 24796.
- Confirm the absence or presence of any additional mode only from the actual exact-unit instructions; the captured 840353001 guide omits Defrost.
- Check serial, condition, return terms and manufacturer recall notice.
- Allow more than the 11.1 × 11.0-inch body footprint for clearance, controls, cord, lifter and crumb-tray removal.
