Why consider this model?

  • A documented fit for a shopper who wants over-ear ANC, a 3.5 mm fallback that still plays with power off, or a two-device Bluetooth connection while using AAC/SBC. Panasonic's maximum ANC-on Bluetooth ratings are mode-specific: approximately 50 hours on AAC/SBC and 40 hours on LDAC.

Tradeoffs to weigh

  • Multipoint is off by default and needs setup in the Technics Audio Connect app. The operating manual and later firmware history conflict about LDAC while multipoint is enabled, so the assessment does not promise a two-device LDAC arrangement. The cable is documented for normal passive listening when off or depleted, not for ANC. The current U.S. product page and operating manual also differ on whether the case and airplane adaptor are in the exact package; verify box contents.
