Why consider this model?

  • A plausible home or small-office desktop NAS when four native SATA positions, one individual 2.5GbE port and a possible buyer-created two-drive mirror fit the plan, without a need for M.2 storage, RAM expansion, virtual machines or 10GbE.

Tradeoffs to weigh

  • The standalone NAS is diskless, both drives for a mirror must be bought and configured separately, and two bays remain unused in a two-drive mirror. Its 8GB LPDDR4X memory is fixed, it has no M.2 slots, and one 2.5GbE port is not a faster 10GbE path. The U.S. 128TB and regional 120TB raw headline figures differ; exact drive compatibility and usable capacity depend on the selected U.S. drives and storage layout.
