Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- A documented fit when a rack deployment genuinely needs thirty native SATA positions in a hybrid layout, a pair of built-in 10GBASE-T links, ECC memory and either QTS or QuTS hero. The exact E2378-64G-US package has an owner-configurable two-drive RAID 1 option under either OS, but the drives, compatible network path, installation work and separate backup are the buyer's decisions.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- This is a four-unit enterprise rack system rather than a simple desktop enclosure. Its thirty positions are not interchangeable: twenty-four 3.5-inch trays support the documented HDD/SSD options, while the six 2.5-inch positions are SSD-only. No data drives or rails are listed; the exact compatible drive list, delivered memory module layout, OS choice, current warranty terms, physical dimensions and actual performance all need confirmation. A 10GbE port rating does not predict file-copy speed.
