Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- A current-reference fit for a broader 61-key semi-weighted span and NI software-control surface when external MIDI must be routed through a computer/interface rather than a built-in DIN output.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The A61 has more note range than the A49 but is not the S61: its reviewed sources do not establish polyphonic key aftertouch, USB-C connector shape, a body width or direct 5-pin MIDI output. It is a computer-based controller with a registration-dependent software offer, not a standalone sound source.
