Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- K55100WW is principally a monitor riser with a lower UVC compartment, but Kensington explicitly says it can also serve as a laptop stand. It raises the screen on a fixed, broad platform and adds enclosed storage/sanitization functionality. The manufacturer lists an assembled footprint of 598 × 295 × 126 mm and a 7.5 kg unit mass.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The maker page marks it no longer available. Its 40 lb specification is a monitor rating, not a verified laptop-specific load limit; no laptop size chart or laptop load rating is stated. It is heavy, fixed-height desk furniture rather than portable or height adjustable. UVC performance statements are manufacturer claims that depend on proper, closed-compartment use and do not prove sterility or independent safety.
