The 2021–2023 U.S. Festool catalog/dealer material identifies this corded 420 configuration; inspected 2026 catalog pages 120–127 show current cordless Carvex models/accessories rather than this EBQ tool. This is not an official discontinuation or seller-unavailability finding. Top/D-handle with variable-speed trigger and separate safety lock. Trigger range is 1,000–3,800 SPM when used; the wheel sets the maximum. The lock is not a documented trigger lock-on for continuous running.

Why consider this model?

  • An earlier-reference corded top-handle 420 when its trigger-controlled speed range and D-handle switch arrangement suit the documented task.

Tradeoffs to weigh

  • The trigger speed range begins at 1,000 SPM, but the trigger is not documented as a continuous-operation lock; the separate switches govern that. Vacuum and optional bevel base are incompatible, and retailer wattage text conflicts with Festool primary sources.
