Aura Carver Mat offers Carver's 10.1-inch landscape display and cloud-sharing arrangement with a paper-textured border. This assessment covers Charcoal/Gravel and Sandstone/Clay with their distinct US SKUs; the border is the documented design distinction, not an orientation or resolution upgrade.

Assessment scenario: Carver Mat with a paper-textured border
A landscape tabletop scenario for a household that wants the Carver cloud-sharing arrangement and prefers a paper-textured mat border.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- The documented 10.1-inch, 1280 × 800 panel supports a horizontal 10-inch minimum, and Aura identifies it as a landscape display.
- Aura's support material describes remote contributions to a frame over its cloud service, with a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection at the frame.
- Aura says its unlimited cloud photo/video storage does not require a recurring frame subscription; Carver Mat also supports automatic portrait-photo pairing within landscape viewing.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- Carver Mat is landscape-only; Photo Match does not provide physical portrait orientation, and its automatic arrangement may not suit every album.
- Mains power and internet-connected 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi are required for operation and new cloud delivery; offline cached display is not established.
- The source pages do not establish local media storage, an anti-glare surface or the exact current box contents and power-adapter package.
Check these before ordering
- Match the exact finish and SKU: Charcoal with Paper Mat (package may say Gravel), AFM900-MBLK; or Sandstone with Paper Mat (package may say Clay), AFM900-MWHT.
- Confirm that the paper-textured border is the intended finish; the separate non-matted Carver has the same documented panel size, resolution and sharing arrangement.
- Check 2.4 GHz internet, outlet placement, current tabletop and power-supply package, seller, return terms and warranty. No price or availability is stated here.
