- A permanently installed or near-battery 12 V lead-acid charger for a compatible car or auxiliary battery when a 2 A rate is appropriate, a one-bank connection suffices, and a mounting point with suitable ventilation, cable protection and AC access can be arranged. NOCO states up to 40 Ah for charging and maintenance for all battery sizes; those are separate uses.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- It is not a portable clamp-on charger: the single 2 A output is intended to remain connected near the battery, uses a 24-inch DC lead with eyelets and requires mounting. It is limited to 12 V lead-acid batteries, has no documented lithium or 6 V mode, no Force Mode and a 40 Ah stated charging limit.
