Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- A portable external HDMI 2.1 route for unencrypted sources when high-refresh display passthrough and high-rate computer capture matter, including laptop, Mac or USB-C iPad workflows where supported.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The best format choices require a suitable USB data link, and the codec/OS/app combination changes what can be recorded. HDR recording is Windows-only; Mac converts HDR to SDR, iPad mode details are incomplete, and DSC display modes may be limited or uncapturable.
