Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- A source with USB-C DP Alt Mode where an integrated dock, charging, HDMI display output and either computer capture or PC-free microSD recording are wanted. The supported 4K60 display path is separate from 4K capture; the GC515's 4K60-pass-through arrangement is limited to 1080p60 recording.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- Not an HDMI-input card. Its streaming-PC USB data rate is unspecified in the reviewed model sources; do not infer it from the DP 1.4 source cable. 4K60 passthrough caps recording at 1080p60, protected HDCP video is unsupported, and the separate microSD card is not included. HDR, VRR, a microphone input and exact iPad capture app/mode support are not established.
