Assessment scenario: Trail use at 57 cm with CPSC evidence required — Women’s Source Mips style 099 assessment
Assessment scenario only: an adult trail rider checks a 57 cm circumference and requires documented US CPSC evidence. Women’s Source Mips US style 099 is one matching model in the finder result; its S/M-only 51–59 cm chart does not establish personal fit or a unique women’s anatomical fit.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- The exact page identifies Women’s Source Mips style 100000000500000099 in the observed Matte Black Ice Dye route and offers S/M only.
- Giro describes this model as trail-ready, with 17 stated vents, internal channeling, Roc Loc 5 Mips and a tool-free adjustable screw-in visor. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent test results.
- The exact US page states CPSC compliance for persons age five and older; its linked adult chart maps S/M to 51–59 cm, which includes 57 cm.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- The Women’s Series label does not establish a unique anatomical women’s fit; Giro says the series does not feature a unique women’s fit.
- The chart ends at 59 cm because style 099 offers only S/M; standard Source style 098 has a different offer and its facts are not substituted.
- The 351 g figure is for a manufacturer-stated Medium CPSC reference; the vent count and channeling do not prove cooling or impact performance, and integrated Mips is not Spherical/Mips.
Check these before ordering
- Confirm the offer is Women’s Source Mips US style 099, desired Matte Black Ice Dye finish and an offered S or M size; do not substitute standard Source style 098.
- Check the exact physical helmet’s CPSC marking, size label and model identity; inspect the visor and fit system and follow current instructions.
- Try the exact helmet on and verify stable, comfortable positioning; check package, condition, seller/return terms and current recall notices.
