Assessment scenario: Assessment scenario: a 58 cm adult trail half-shell with CPSC wording
Assessment scenario only: adult trail use, a 58 cm circumference and documented US CPSC wording. Bell prints S/M 53–60 cm and M/L 56–63 cm, so both bands include 58 cm; neither chart is a fit decision.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- The observed Bell US MTB card and exact US product page identify adult 2Twenty Mips style 100000000500000134 in the Half Shell category; Bell describes it for entry-level mountain biking, which supports this trail-only comparison.
- The exact adult product page states CPSC Certification and names Mips Evolve. The model’s feature evidence comes from this style page rather than the separately listed 2Twenty Youth Mips.
- Bell’s exact chart lists S/M at 53–60 cm and M/L at 56–63 cm. Both bands contain the scenario’s 58 cm value, so this is a documented chart screen and a prompt to try the exact model, not a size recommendation.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- Mips Evolve is not the requested Spherical Technology powered by Mips; the name alone does not establish a comparative crash outcome.
- The two size bands overlap from 56 through 60 cm. A circumference number cannot resolve head shape, pressure points, stable position or personal fit.
- The exact page says 420 g for L/XL while its current size selector lists S/M and M/L; no size-specific weight is assigned here.
- This assessment cannot establish current inventory, the condition or history of a seller’s unit, the label on an individual helmet, exact package contents or a later recall notice.
Check these before ordering
- Confirm the exact adult Bell 2Twenty Mips style 100000000500000134, color and selected size; the observed Steel Grey / S/M SKU is BL-7204094 and is not a stock statement.
- Use Bell’s current model chart and general fit instructions. Since both S/M and M/L include 58 cm, try the actual helmet and check its position and adjustment rather than choosing from circumference alone.
- Inspect the inside label and condition, ask about impact history and return terms, and check current manufacturer/CPSC notices before relying on an individual offer.
