Aqueon's current US family page identifies the 7.5 W Aquatic Flat Heater as suitable for 1–3 gallon tanks. It is fully submersible, uses suction-cup placement and is described as shatterproof; its linked manual identifies Model 01230 and 120 V / 60 Hz. Aqueon's linked recommendation chart conflicts at the smallest listed size, so check the exact package and instructions.

Assessment scenario: Compare this exact model
Check the exact model and configuration against your choices, then compare the seller and offer details.
Explore this buying guide ↗Why consider this model?
- A narrow documented candidate for a 1–3 US-gallon aquarium when a fully submerged in-tank heater with a shatterproof construction claim is wanted and water type or thermostat behavior is not being assumed. The current exact-variant page identifies this range, while the manufacturer's linked sizing chart conflicts at the lower point; use the exact item instructions and resolve that discrepancy for a one-gallon tank.
Tradeoffs to weigh
- This 7.5 W version has a current exact-page 1–3-gallon recommendation and a manual maximum of 3 gallons, but Aqueon's linked chart marks 1 gallon not recommended and 5 gallons recommended. The page says up to 6°F above ambient while the manual estimates a 2–4°F average rise. There is no documented user-adjustable setting, supported water type or exact heater-body clearance dimension; its 120 V / 60 Hz label and minimum water level require attention.
